| 2007 TANNEYHILL FINAL
Managers,
Announcing the 2007 Tanneyhill Football League Champion:
NICK CIFELLI
Please join me in congratulating him on another dominant performance. Cifelli becomes the first champ in the 11 years of the League to defend his title and repeat. He joins managers LaSota and Kyle as the only two-time champs. No doubt, during the off-season, he’ll be prepping for his attempt at a never-before-achieved three-peat!
Cifelli earns $300 for his victory and more importantly his name once again engraved for eternity on the coveted Tanneyhill trophy. The trophy will reside for another year in Charlotte, no doubt attracting hordes of sightseers and autograph seekers.
Bryan finishes in 2nd and earns $200 plus the less awe-inspiring, but still impressive, Flutie Trophy. His name will be engraved as an everlasting reminder that he “came up a little short” and has something to show for it.
3rd place was a tie between Harbs and Richard (both from Division III). Based on a 5 - 4 win on the first tiebreaker, AP Top 25 Teams, Harbs takes the 3rd place winnings. He takes home $100 for his efforts and leaves Richard in the Heartbreak Hotel 4th place, with nothing but a slap on the ass.
It was also reservations in the Heartbreak Hotel for M/VZ, who lost their division in the regular season by 1 point, then lost 3rd place in the finals by 1 bowl win. Livezey also suffers the heartache of losing a spot in the playoffs and a chance at the money by 1 point.
But it was an entire season full of heartache for our winner of the Award for Draft Excellence: Julian Thome. He earns the DRINK! trophy and the privilege of finishing the chug chain at next year’s draft. Congratulations.
Lastly, congratulations to the four regular season division winners who take home $100 for their win: Stork, Cifelli, Harbs, and Bryan.
The total winnings to be paid by the Tanneyhill Accounting Department:
Cifelli - $400
Bryan - $300
Harbs - $200
Stork - $100
It has been a pleasure and an honor serving as your commissioner this year. I look forward to the 12th year of Tanneyhill competition and the continuation of this great college football tradition in 2008. Check back in early summer for an announcement concerning Draft! May College Football always be with you…
Your Commish,
jedi
